Considering Long-Term Care Insurance?

Who would take care of you if you were bedridden for a few months? With the costs of home care and assisted living facilities increasing each year, aging baby boomers are thinking ahead and buying long-term care insurance.

Long-term care services are needed if you have a chronic illness or disability that leaves you unable to care for yourself over an extended period of time. Usually, this type of care is not covered by your health insurance plan or by Medicare.

The U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) has recently published a new, free Guide to Long-Term Care Insurance. You can secure the guide by calling, toll-free, 888-878-3256 and asking for Department 669M or by visiting: www.pueblo.gsa.gov/rc/n29longtermcare.htm.
